Maps published after 1800 are part of the NL modern library collections, a part of the map collections is kept in the Manuscript and Early Printed Books Department and is gradually transferred to particular NL departments in order to catalogue its items and store them.

Old Maps of Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia are made accessible via internet by the Laboratory of Geoinformatics, University of J.E.Purkyně, Ústí nad Labem - it concerns the 1st and 2nd Military Surveys, Müller´s Survey, and the Stabile Cadaster (partly catalogued).
